The Springfield Village, Golf & Spa

Springfield Village, Golf & Spa in the coastal resort of Cha Am is regarded one of the best courses in the country. Just two hours and twenty minutes from Bangkok, the Jack Nicklaus designed course opened in 1993 and draws Bangkok golfers and overseas enthusiasts to play on its immaculate greens and enjoy the luxurious accommodation.

Beautifully maintained, the Springfield course provides golfers with 27 holes in an inspiring landscaped setting.  This intriguing course is a true Nicklaus masterpiece and was ranked as one of the top ten golf courses in Thailand by Golf Digest. With five sets of tees to play from, the course offers varying degrees of difficulty in a stunning location.

 
 
 
Springfield is one of the best maintained courses in Thailand with excellent clubhouse facilities. It is very popular with Hua Hin-based touring professionals who practice here on a regular basis to keep their game finely tuned between the Asian Tour events. It is also home to the prestigious Heartland Golf School.
 
 
Palm Hills Golf Resort and Country Club

Set against a beautiful hillside just north of Hua Hin and benefiting from breathtaking views, the Palm Hills Golf Resort and Country Club features a world-class 18-hole golf course. It has a long strip of undulating terrain which has caused golfers to draw comparisons with certain Scottish courses. The layout, designed by Max Wexler, runs east to west, with lakes at each end. Punctuated by swaying palms, the course provides interest and challenge for even the most seasoned golfer. The Club House at the Palm Hills Golf Resort and Country Club is a place to enjoy a meals and drinks with friends and family. The restaurant boasts a wide variety of dishes, including Thai, Chinese, Western and Japanese cuisine. A sports club also features a swimming pool, four tennis courts, two indoor badminton courts, two squash courts, snooker table tennis and a fully-equipped fitness room.

 
Royal Hua Hin Golf Club

The Royal Hua Hin Golf Club is a historic course located close to the heart of the town. Established in 1924 during the reign of King Rama VI, the Royal Hua Hun Golf Course was commissioned by Prince Kampaengpetch and designed by a Scottish railway engineer, Mr. A. O. Robins.

This beautiful par 72, 18-hole course is bordered by mature trees and although not the best course in the area, it is certainly one that should be played by all golf enthusiasts. The course and clubhouse underwent major improvements during the 1980s in order to ensure that it could compete with the golfing clubs. The course enjoys panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand and local temples, giving it a very special ambience. The clubhouse is situated close to the old Hua Hin railway station. This beautiful station was also constructed in the 1920s and it remains one of the oldest, most well preserved stations in Thailand.

Hua Hin Seoul Country Club
The Hua Hin Seoul Golf Club opened in 1987 and undoubtedly started the trend that established the area as a golfing paradise. Formerly known as the Milford Golf Club, this is a par 72, 18-hole course was designed by American, Robert MacFarlane. Set on 300 acres of land in two valleys adjacent to the beach and hotel, players can enjoy spectacular mountain and ocean views. The course has a reputation as being difficult to play with fast greens that are not easily read putting even the skills of professionals to the test. The course is located south of Hua Hin.
 
Imperial Lake View Princess Resort and Golf Club
The Imperial Lake View Princess Resort and Golf Club is situated near the Cha Am-Pranburi bypass. Designed by Roger Packard, the Lake View course has beautiful fairways leading to hidden greens. Opened in 1993, the course is very scenic with many native trees and palms planted on the rolling hills. Lake View also features an excellent 75-room hotel with function rooms, Thai and international restaurants and fitness facilities.
 
 
Majestic Creek Country Club and Beach Resort
Majestic Creek is an exciting course with natural streams and other water hazards to challenge all levels of player. The course is situated inland and despite its beautiful surroundings is seldom busy and is perfect for a leisurely day’s golf. The club also owns a 48 room beach resort, located just north of the Royal Summer Palace in Hua Hin. A free shuttle bus runs between the resort and country club throughout the day.
 
 
Kaeng Krachan Country Club & Resort
Kaeng Krachan Country Club and Golf Resort is part of the 14,000 acre Kaeng Krachan Estate in Petchburi Province, just 40 kilometres from Hua Hin. Surrounded natural beauty of mountains, forests and lakes, the golf course was designed by the Thai designer Cherd Boonyaratavej. A second course designed by Jack Nicholas is under construction with the first nine holes scheduled for opening in 2007. A third 18-hole course designed by Greg Norman is also planned.
